Welcome.
My intention, as a practitoner of medicine, is to help people move towards health and balance.
My focus and skill is in identifying the fundamental constitutional make up of my clients and treating distress that arises from this constitutional viewpoint. This systems approach understands that it is the interrelationship of a person’s constitution with their genetics, medical history, diet, lifestyle, life experience, etc. that causes distress to arise. This is a very different approach to health from allopathic medicine or even other forms of acupuncture.
Sometimes renewed health happens with a few treatments that relieve symptoms and reestablish vitality. Or it is an intensive period of treatment that addresses acute and/or on-going conditions. Often it is an in-depth relationship where fundamental physical, emotional, and/or spirit level issues are addressed.
I may suggest homework, dietary and lifestyle changes, and work with complimentary practitioners in the area. I may engage clients directly with insight into their constitutional make-up to help illuminate patterns of distress they are, often unconsciously, creating and sustaining through choices they make.
I hold a keen understanding of the inner traditions of classical Chinese medicine rooted in the classical medical texts. The central tenant of the inner tradition is recovering our original nature undistorted by suffering, confusion, and ego.

With every great and good wish,
Megan Godfrey
